The first Restaurant Trends seminar was held in 1993 at The Bay Tower Room in Boston, Massachusetts. The theme of that presentation was "How to Open and Operate a Successful Restaurant." Based on the record attendance and the success of that first venture, we agreed that the seminar should be an annual event.

The purpose of our seminars is to provide programs of substantive issues that enhance the professionalism of the industry and provide meaningful information. We help restaurant owners and operators to succeed in a very competitive market.

The Restaurant Trends seminars are sponsored by the real estate firm, The Boston Restaurant Group, Inc., the construction management firm Cafco Construction Management, Inc., and the business law firm of Ruberto, Israel & Weiner, P.C.

Cafco is a Boston-based construction management and general contracting firm that specializes in restaurant and entertainment development. Founded in 1988, Cafco has quietly built a solid reputation in the construction industry with its unique focus on the customer. We know that opening a restaurant or retail operation can be a stressful and mentally exhausting experience. We try to take the stress and mystery out of the construction process. We have the experience to anticipate obstacles. All successful relationships are based on effective communication. At Cafco, constant communication provides the foundation upon which successful projects are built. Not just "up front" agreements that are in place before the first nail is driven but throughout the process, every step of the way. You will find that comfortable feeling that comes from knowing where you stand at all times during the course of a project, it's called peace of mind.

We feel particularly qualified in this respect based on our experience. We have built over four hundred restaurants and nightclubs in the Boston area, many of which have been given the prestigious "Best of Boston" award. We understand how a restaurant works, we enjoy the process of building and understand it will only be successful through communication and team work. At Cafco, we believe it is critical for us to understand our customer's business so that we can offer truly comprehensive and meaningful solutions to their construction related problems. We are committed to helping our clients look their best for their customers.

Cafco's ability to understand the unique design and operational issues that face restaurant owners has made them a leader in the specialty restaurant construction market.
